Default Distributor rotor and Cam sensor orientation

The last few weeks, I've been working on a 93 850 I purchased that had a broken timing belt. I've finally got a different used head installed and I'm about ready to start buttoning it up. Two things I haven't been able to figure out:

How do I know which way to install the distributor rotor and the cam position sensor? They both can be installed into the cam slots two ways right? When I have the crank and cams are aligned at TDC, which way should these guys be pointed?

I'm guessing that the rotor should be oriented so it points to where the #1 spark plug wire is on the cap. I have no guesses though for the cam position sensor.

I've been unable to figure it out from either Haynes or the forums. I would really appreciate any light you can shed!

They are supposed to only go on one way. But I have seen people get them on wrong.

For what it's worth this is how I installed them. With the crank and cam timing marks all lined up, I installed the rotor so that it was pointed to the #1 spark plug location on the distributor cap. I then installed the CPS so that the half moon thing was at the bottom, IE the half moon was about to go through(if the engine turned) the actual sensor part of the outside piece.

Car started up first try doing it this way. Hope it helps somebody in the future.
