Volvo 240 Wagon Speakers
I was wondering if anyone could explain to me or link me to a site that will explain how to remove and install some new speakers in my Volvo 240 wagon. I dont care too much about sound it's just that the front speakers are blown and it's quite annoying. I have never installed car speakers before but I'm told its not too difficult. I looked at taking the speaker covers off but i dont want to break it, any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
The best people around for car stereo stuff, IMHO, are http://www.crutchfield.com/. If you buy something from them, they will printout detailed vehicle specific install info. There is also a lot of good general install info in the Learn section, after you go to the site map page.
I just replaced the speakers on my '91 240, and had to drill out the rivets that held in my stock speakers. The Covers on mine popped right off, but we had to glue them back on.....

You are right, that is fugged up. Next time I am in there, and I am not too far from them, I will ask them why. It sure is not good business. I have done quite a bit of internet sales, and some of my best customers have been from Canada. The postage is not that much more, and the customer pays for it anyway with just one silly extra form to fill out for USPS.
