Hi...I'm a noob on these forums!! I have a 1989 Volvo 740gl that consistently stalls whenever I’m making a right turn. But only right turn when I turn left its fine! If I give it throttle in turn it will sputter a little bit but it will stay on. Any ideas on what this could be?

 

Does it only happen when you are below 1/4 tank of gas?
Do you hear a loud Humming under the drivers seat?

 

yes it does happen under quarter tank but then I put gas in it about five gallons and its still doing it so I tried to take it out today and it stalled and wouldn’t start towed it back to my house I’m totally lost the fuel pump is fine all the fuses look good its getting air! And I don’t think there’s any humming under my seat! sorry i forgot to add that it also stalls when i put it in reverse!

Check the engine speed sensor in the back of the engine.
