Default waterpump

Well I am about 1/2 through the process of replacing the water pump on my '91 240. I am used to aircooled cars, what a mess...

I am also, in this repair work, going to do the timing belt. I thought I had the right size socket for the crank pully nut, but I don't. What size is it?

thanks

You won't think it is such a mess when you turn the heat on! I like aircooled cars but they freeze you all winter long. Give me my comfortable volvo. I think you could slow cook a chicken in one (or in my case perhaps a turkey) Air cooled engines don't last nearly as long either. The germans love machinery so much that they protect that beautiful air cooled engine with the driver (lwt's put somethng soft up here) Volvo's will keep you from harm. Just give it a chance my 240 is the most wonderful car I have ever owned: 5 vw's 63,66,69,66 conv,67, 69 austin healey sprite, 850 morris mini, 1950 ****** jeepster, ford cortina and the very worst of the lot 2000 mazda miata (2 engines thrust bearing failure, coil pack, pre cat, cps the list goes on and on and on) I will never buy any mazda again!
