Weird power issue mid range (940 Turbo)
I am having a peculiar issue with my 940. If i accelerate from a dead stop it feels like there is a dip in the power curve. Not sure if that makes sense, It is not linear. The power delivery drops off mid range and picks up towards the higher revs. I can tell the turbo spools up low down tho.
Any ideas?

does the turbo boost gauge show any dip during this power loss?
I'd be looking for air leaks in the intake path between the MAF and the throttle body (which includes the plumbing into and out of the turbo and through the intercooler), me thinks.

Funny you should say that.... i broke my turbo gauge when i took my cluster out a while ago. had to shove a old screw into the vac hose to keep it from hissing. I will check for that tomorrow. My other remedy like for every single other volvo i have owned is to sea foam the bejusus out of it (not enough to hurt it but...you know what i mean)
The piping is pretty oily from what im guessing is just a worn out turbo charger. could that cause performance issues?
