Sorry no pics.

You see a pipe on the passenger side of the engine right?
Follow it down under the car about 2 feet and you will be there.

Ok it is on the other Left side LOL Just kidding.

The side it is on is actually the right side of the car. When you stand behind the car and look foward then it will be the right side. Not when you look under the hood.

Yes that would be the pipe.

Ok, i will take a pic of the pipe under the hood and i will post it tomorrow

ORIGINAL: tech

There is a pipe that comes off the engine. It drops down then turns under the Car. Where the turn is you should see the sheild. It looks like 2 peices welded together. That is the Sheild I speak of.
Exactly(remind me again) what am i looking for, is it like a circular thing? or is it 2 pieces of metal? or exactly what

2 peices that are welded over the pipe. They are put over the pipe and tack welded in a couple of places.

Pretty much. It has little Tack welds holding the 2 covers together. Pry apart.

Problem solved! i took the car to the volvo so they lifted it up and checked everything under the car, they heard the sound also, and they told me that they would remove it for 20 bucks i said no way of course, but i now know which one of the 2 heat shields is doing the noise, is the one that is straight, and the transmission box was leaking, they said that the clunking sound i was complaining about was because of this, they are going to fix it, but they were amazed because of the condition of the car
