What am I driving?
Hey all,
I think I need a history lesson. I recently purchased a 1995 Volvo 940, and it was labelled as a Turbo. It has the original B230FT engine, so I am led to believe that yes, it definitely is a 940 Turbo.
However, on all the other dashboards for 940 Turbos I've seen, there is a needle for the turbo under the tachometer. Mine doesn't have that. It also only says "940" on the back rather than "940 Turbo". Any insights?
Thanks!

the last year or two 940's, they put turbo engines in many cars that weren't branded 'turbo'. I've run into a couple of these. can't say if I know offhand if those would have had the turbo gauge on the dash or not, its also possible your instrument panel was replaced with one from a non-turbo car to fix a bad speed or whatever.
'95 940 Turbos don't have turbo gauges, or TURBO badges. '94s have turbo gauges but no turbo badges. Your Air Filter box should say TURBO and be located on the passenger side. Non turbo's is on the driver's side.
