hello all, looks like its time to get a new rack...i think....the steering wheel seems to pulse round bends and fight back to center. I have checked the belt and fluid levels are ok. I have been told this is caused by internal leak leading to pressure imbalance (what do you think??) i have had the rack reconditioned and this has made no difference it is slightly better but not much. There was found to be a fault with the speed assist part which io was told was fixed??

Anyone shed any light on this...what else can i check ?? Volvo quoted £600 ex vat for new rack....can get one from breakers for £200 but i want to be sure its ok. Any one have any ideas of good suppliers of recon racks??

Anyone else had problem with s60 rack??

Have you investigated the bottom steering shaft universal joint? They do go bad. I replaced one this summer on an '02.
