whats your feelings on the EZ Breeze retrokit
I want my AC. I replaced the blower the other day (by the way this is easy on a 740), and stopped the horrible squealing. Now I want your opinions of the ezchill retro kit. It converts the system to r312 from r12 and has a new conditioner for the orings and a leak sealer. What are your feelings? Should i get this kit and hope for the best or should i get a kit with new orings and replace all the orings with new ones? the car is an 89.

Does your system just need recharging? If it does i would just get some more R12. It will work better in your system, there isn't any chance of ruining it and it workds bettter than R-134a. It is kind of hard to come across but you can get it on ebay. You will just have to tell them that you are buying it for resale only. Or you can find an A/C shop that has the proper liscenses to do it. That shouldn't be too hard if you just call around you should be able to find someone who can do it for you.

I live in California. I havn't seen any r12 for sale. It might just be to hard and I just need it to cool. I know the best route to go is take the system apart, get new orings, and replace the condensor(?) with the r312 part. But the car is so old, I think changing the conector and just adding the sealer and refrigerantwould be best. Just wanted the other's opinions. I know that the sealers for the radiators just kinda delay the inevitable. Wanted to see if any one had experience with the kit clogging their parts.
