Default Will m46 internals fit m47

I have a good m47 except for reverse it has a broken teeth on the gear everything else looks good. I can't find a good m47 in my area. So here's my question will the reverse gear out of a m46 fit in a m47? I can find m46 tranny all day long cheap. I want to keep my car original so don't want to swap a m46 in it. Thanks for any info.

as far as I can tell the only difference internally is the top gear height is slightly different

can't find zip about reverse
but everything else states that its exactly the same

Can't you just measure the gears and count the teeth? I mean, you'd have to find them first so..
