Wind driven avocado punched through my 740 Turbo wagon's tailgate window
Thank you guys. The guy said that his 940 tailgate was rusty, and mine isn't, so maybe we're talking about a glass guy removing and replacing my glass with his. I'll let you know how it turned out.

are there any older euro repair shops on the islands ? ask around. maybe they know someone who has a rusty 740/940 in their back yard that you could snag that window for a reasonable fee.
I'm pretty sure those are installed with butyl tape which is pretty generic. if your door has any rust bubbles, good time to strip and grind/sandblast, patch and paint when the glass is out..

Did you ever manage to get the glass changed out on your wagon?
Was the trim salvageable, or was it secured by the butyl/urethane and damaged when the glass was removed/replaced?
