Default Won't start, backfires when cranking.

It seemed to be driving just fine until I heard some loud backfires and the engine stopped. No smoke, just a bunch of fire out the tailpipe. I had to push the bloody thing off a three-lane elevated highway, that was fun. When I got the thing down to the street it simply wouldn't start. It had fuel and a spark, and it kept backfiring when I tried to crank it, and the first thing you want to do when you find yourself in a bad neighborhood is to start making gunshot noises, and have a car that doesn't work. Good times.

Fortunately one of my friends has triple A, all he had to do was pretend it was his car and they towed it for us. I had to drive his car though, first time and last time I'll drive a FWD car, the thing did nothing but hydroplane the whole way back, I haven't hydroplaned in my sure-footed RWD Volvo for a year. And when I spun the wheels trying to get up a steep hill it went backwards. But I digress.

I have no timing belt. It's a pushrod. Also it's fixed now.

That'll teach me. Year, make, and model up front.

You know, it's funny but I've owned powerful FWD cars for the past six years and have never hydroplaned.....guess I need more than 175Kw.

Regards, Andrew.
