Hi, I have a problem on my 1999 awd turbo s70... engine wasn't runing very well while decelerating and the code was missfire on cylingder 5 so i parked the car and took a look under the hood and found one ground wire for the coil of the 5th cylinder was broken and the coil wasn't working neither... i fixed that by replacing the coil and fixing the wire... i put new spark plug (NGK) and gap them right using alldata and mitchell-on-demand's specs (GAP : 28)... after that i started the car using a booster pack but the car wasn't even trying to start it was just cranking.... (the car was starting well when i decided to change the spark plug and the coils !!!!) I have good fire on each of the spark plug (tested white a spark-tester and was reacting at 35 000 volts)...wire for the injectors are good too they all have power on the green wire... ( im a bit confuse because it was working befor i change the spark plugs and the coil)... is there anybody that has fixed this probleme already?

 

Did you check fuel pressure? Can you hear the fuel pump?

 

Yes i can hear the fuel pump when i put the igniton ON but i did not chek the fuel pressur yet. i tought the engine was flooded so i let the gaz evaporated for 1 entire day and night and clean the new spark plug, rechek the Gap and put them in, i cranked the engine and rechek the spark plugs but they were dry even after several engine crank but i could smell some gaz trought the spark plug Hole.

 

You hear the pump from the back right? Did you try to give it some gas pedal when you tried to start it? You may have an air problem is you have spark and gas.

 

no i did not try to play the pedal, i did no tough of an air trouble. I will try tomorow and chek if the filter air aire system is ok (its turbo) i post the result tomorow thxx
