Default 1996 960 Transmission Trouble

Hello all

I am having transmission trouble with my 96 volvo 960 4 door sedan. When the car is first started, the transmission (AW30)will engage all gears and drive normally, however after heating up to normal operating temperature, the transmission will not engage any forward or reverse gears and go into nuetral even when the shift lever is in the drive (1 or 3 or L)position or reverse position. After turning the engine off and waiting 2-3 minutes and restarting the car, the transmission engages just fine till it goes back to operating tempature again and it goes back into nuetral mode. This all occured after I changed the fluid and filter (it was a dark brown and needed changing) Could it be the shift solieniod? Or is it the tranmission control module? or is it something far worse? I am having diffuctly understanding why this is happening and help is appreciated in any form. Thank you.

Rashad

Is the transmission arrow flashing?

If not then the transmission might be going bad.

Best thing to do is take it to a transmission shop.
