Hi everyone.

I am new to this forum, I've been searching all thorughout the internet for these two relays, but i can't find out what they are. On pic attached, relay A gets very hot and engine stops working. Unfortunately, the relays I have on my car (A and B) are not the original, I have two Bosch 12V 30 amp relays. I want to know what are the specs of these two relays, so I can fix my stalling engine problem. I guess the relays are the problems, because after changing these relays to new 30 amp ones, the car works fine for a while, but as relays get hot the engine starts failing again.

One I think is the injector relay I will have to try to find info to double check though.

Your "A" is D (Ignition coil relay)and your "B" is C (Main relay):

Hi tech, TIPSP,

I havent been able to find the oem part number or relay specs( pin numbers, amp) for the ignition coil relay. I found out the specs of the main relay though (12V 50 amp 4 pins).

When engine shuts down while driving, I get these error codes:
Motronic 1.8
113 - Injectors group 1 faulty signal
115 - Injectors group 2 faulty signal

I hope chnaging the relays will help, or do you suggest anything else?

It could also be a bad power stage that is on the side of the intake manifold that is bad.
I have seen many of them go bad.

 

Thank you, Ill have a look at it. Any idea on the ignition coil relay? 12V how many amperes?

Volvo 35 44 322 (12V 50 amp)

Yes that is the power stage I am refering to but there is actually 2 of them. 1 that feeds 1,3,5 and the other feeds 2,4,6.

Sorry no info yet on the relay.

 

Ok, I found out info on the relay. Thanks anyway!
I am going to try first changing both relays (the main relay and the ignition) and see if things get better, then Ill see if I change both
power stages.. cause I think each costs 180 dollars. I guess I would have to change both of them if i am getting error codes on both injector groups (1,3,5 and 2,4,6).
