Hey guys My name is Kris and I'm new to these forums. I own a S60T and I am having trouble with it running on only 3 cylinders. The car runs fine when it is in Park but once I put it in drive (auto) It drops 2 cylinders. I was hoping that this has happened to someone else and they know what it might be. I'm from Australia and these euro cars are very expensive to take to a mechanic over hereso if I could fix it myself that would be excellent. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

 

Did you have the codes read?

You might need plugs and coils. (Coils are common to go bad)

 

No I haven't had the codes read. You cannot buy the scanner over here to read the codes yourself and the nearest dealer is about 40klms away. May have to replace the coil and hope for the best I think.

 

I would do the plugs and coils.

If you can afford it buy for all 5 cylinders this way you don't have another problem soon.
