Default Running on all cylinders ?

Squirrels ate through a few of the wires leading to full injectors. I repaired using shrink wrap connectors. When I fired it up it seemed to run fine. next day on cold start it seems to be running sluggish. when I gave it gas it hesitated, but if I reved it up the engine seemed to be running fine. If it was running on 4 cylinders instead of 5 would it easily be noticed? would it start on 4 ok? I intend to take it in and have my repair job reworked by a professional but am not sure about driving it very far if it could be damaged by not firing on one cylinder.

thoughts?

thanks

Rodent damage is often covered by insurance.

Yes the car can run on 4 cylinders but it will have a rough idle. You should have a CEL if it's running on 4.
