Default Aluminum Rims: Normal Tire Rotation???

Greetings!

Just checking to see if anyone's had problems with the evil practice of rotating one's tires without removing them from the rims first

(Many dire warnings of wheel/axle imbalances and the like throughout Volvoland if you move the rims about from their original axle stations...)

Is this a real issue for those of us who travel at speeds below, say, lightspeed???

Thanks & Cheers!

Huh? Are you saying the normal way to rotate tires is to dismount them from the rims and reinstall? Never heard of such lunacy. Rotate my tires every 5K by simply removing the 5 lug bolts, moving the entire wheel and tire as an assembly to the new location, and reinstalling the lug bolts.

NO! Not normal; Volvo!

Justification from the manual (IIRC): Hubs/aluminum wheels balanced @ the factory as individual pair sets.

Never heard of such lunacy.
Thought it was nuts, too. Just checking
