My 1994 960 sedan 250K + miles has a bit of shift flare or slipping and jumping back and forth between lockup and unlocked, especially at a speed just over 45 MPH on flat ground where it just enters 4th gear. I've experienced this before on a lesser scale, and changing the fluid cured it for a time, not power flush but letting it pump the old fluid out the return line into a container, refill, repeat etc until clean. I've had the fluid drained and replaced until clean in this manner 3 times in about 120K miles that I've owned the car.
Now I have the car at my indy mechanic again and this time flushing the fluid thoroughly hasn't fixed it. And it's worse this time. I searched online several places and did find a kit with only 2 of the 4 solenoid valves for the transmission, but these are not the linear solenoids involved with the torque converter lockup, as I understand it.
I found a kit made by Rostra the part number is 52-9030 for all 4 solenoids, but it appears not to be available anywhere I've looked so far. I don't think the 2 shift solenoids will do me any good. This is what I'm looking for, the 2 longer ones in particular but I'll pay whatever price for all 4 if I could find them:
I used to own a 2002 Cross Country i.e. V70 XC with the Aisin Warner 5 speed. And because I had trouble with that car with a shift flare from 3rd to 4th I looked up all kinds of web sites back then with information about replacing the solenoids in the valve body.
I'd like to replace the solenoids on my 960 if I could find a full set. I searched the archives on this forum and found a post from 2017 where someone had no luck finding them new even back then, so I don't hold out any hope of finding a new complete set.
Does anyone have part numbers for these solenoids especially the linear solenoids, or have any idea where to get them? I have a copy of the VIDA software running on VMWARE. Might that information i.e. original part numbers for those individual solenoids be on there?
UPDATE: I just did find an individual "transmission lockup solenoid" part number 3515644 for an AW30/40 Volvo 960 on ebay. I found 2 different listings for the same thing actually, that say remanufactured. Is this one solenoid involved with the lockup or are both linear solenoids involved? Sorry I'm ignorant to know exactly how to pose the question. Generally speaking is just this one solenoid involved with locking/unlocking the torque converter? Or do I need 2 solenoids? It is the locking/unlocking back and forth repeatedly which is really noticeable.

My 960 tranny went South on interstate 80. Went from working fine to slipping real bad. Would only drive about 5 mph
for a few miles, would not shift and then slip so bad I'm off the road. Let it sit a few minutes engine off, restart engine, engage
in drive and limp along a few more miles. 25 miles to next exit, but it got me there. Fluid was fine, not burnt smelling and the
car only has 119,000 miles on it. Tow bill was 705.00 (102 miles one way) AAA paid 685.00. After reading and surfing I decided to remove the engine and transmission from a 97 parts car I've had for a few years. Removal went smooth but being an old man laying in a gravel driveway I paid a local garage to finish the swap. As Willie would sing "I'm back on the road again". Don't know if any of them solenoids caused the problems or not. Too much electronic stuff in there for my liking. I did swap the TCM first and it acted the same. I have the rest of the 97 for parts if anyone is interested. Motor has 171 k and was running before removal. Nice doors, hood, fenders, hatch, bumper, and other parts for sale.
