Default Bi-Level & Recirculating Motor

I was told by Volvo that this is out in my 960's AC and that it's $1200.00 to fix. It's the thing that causes the AC to cut out when you push the gas. They say it doesn't have to be fixed it's kind of a luxury item that can be done without and it won't hurt the AC. The AC doesn't completely cut out, but almost. Has anyone ever changed one of these themselves or had it done somewhere for a reasonable price? I can live without it, but it would be nice to get it fixed for a decent price.

not too sure about it.

With your model as well as mine, it's kind of old and volvos have tons of electrical problems. I wouldn't go with 1200 fix. After you fix it,in caseyou do, you are going to incur another problem with volvo. I have my passenger window not going up with the switch on the passenger side. It works though with driver's side switch.

They don't even mention a thing about replacing flame trap. If you look in the manual, they never require you to change transmission fluid even at 60000 miles.
