This is the first time changing oil ever for me, but I have been shown how to do it. I took out the oil drain plug and also loosened the oil fill cap, yet only a few drops came out! Anyone have any idea whats going on here? When I check my oil, it says its full. I am really baffled and any help wouuld be appreciated ASAP since I have my car on a jack right now.

 

I know nothing about your type of car, but since you are in trouble, I'll try. I have worked on a few cars that had a "double hump" oil pan. Where the dumb thing went over a crossbar or brace. It had 2, yes 2, drain plugs. I had the same thought as you, that's why it rings a bell. The one plug only drained maybe 6 ounces, the other side had all the oil. Try looking for a secondary plug.

 

Maybe the hole clogged up?
Stick a screwdriver in the hole and see if something comes out.

 

Thats weird. if it says its full it has to be clogged up.got me thinkin now? you are checkin the oil on a level surface are you. cheers John.
