Service light: Pull the rubber plug out of the dashboard that is to the left of the trip odometer, take a pen and push exposed button. Check Engine light: Open the plug unit "A" above the driver side strut in the engine compartment. Plug the wire that holds the cap on into slot number 2. Press the button for more than 1 second but less than 3. The blinking red light will then flash whatever codes are present in the system. After codes have been displayed, press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds. The light should stay steady. Press and hold the button for another 5 or more seconds. The light should go out. Press the button once more for more than 1 second but less than 3, and verify that the ligh flashes 1-1-1, which will mean there are no codes present in the system. This will clear everything out and turn off the check engine light. However, if something is wrong, the light will probably come back on within the next 10 or so miles. Hope it helps.

I still cant reset my check engine light. The LED wont flash any code either. Just stays on. Any ideas? The car is running great and my gas mileage hasnt changed. I found a vacuum line that was disconnected, and i think that caused the light to come on in the first place. Fixed the line and now if i could only get rid of the light.

Make sure you have your radio code and disconnect the battery and reset the computer.

No i still cant get anything other than a steady dim light. I called a vovlo dealer and they wanted $85 just to take a quick peek at it. Totally unwilling to help me with any advice if you can believe that haha.

Maybe a bad ground somewhere.
Does the button feel springy?
Maybe the button is corroded and touching all the time.

1995 is a split year.
OBDII is 1995 and later.
OBDI up to 1995.
