Fuel codes
I have done the check with the diagnostic service interface on my 960 2.5 and it only gave one code, 2,3,2 which i think is 1.Lamda adjustment and 2. Adaptive heated O2 sensor control (94-up), does this mean the lambda sensor is u/s or a problem with the wiring or connection at the sensor, as i an still having a problem reving the engine over 5000rpm or wide throttle opening in a high gear, if it was a carb engine i would think it was flooding itself or the timing was out,big flat spot, no problems in 1st or second, revs out to the red line, just 3rd,4th and 5th gears.

RE: Fuel codes
Ok, starting to get confused now, i take it my 94/95 facelift 960 2.5 has Bosch LH2.4 injection, as i have read that from 1990-1995 Bosch LH2.4 was used, is there different code lists, as the two lists i have seen list 2-3-2 code as ,
2-3-2 Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or too rich at idle
}If too rich: high fuel press., leaking injector
} various driving problems
and
2-3-2 Lamda adjustment.
2-3-2 Adaptive heated O2 sensor control (94-up).
is there different lists for each year [sm=chairshot.gif]

RE: Fuel codes
I have checked the Throttle Position Switch on the car today and i do not get a click when i move the throttle, i cannot see any way to adjust the switch as unlike the pictures and description on how to set the switch up, there are no elongated slots to move the Bosh switch, the switch just bolts straight through onto the throttle body, and when i move the throttle through out its range there is no click of the switch?.

RE: Fuel codes
Is there a way to set these up, and check this as the nut on the screw adjustment was loose and i will need to set the basics back up, i need to know if this switch is working, as i take it this brings in the idle switch , as both times i have had poor idle and poor revving,i have had the codes for Throttle switch signal faulty or missing and Cold start valve-signal missing. the lack of a manual for the 960 is a pain in the a*se, i don't want to have to put the car into a garage as i got the car cheap and just want to sell it on so i can get a 960 3.0 estate, is there any way to check if these two units are working, i am beginning to wish i had never touched the car, i know the basics are all right, plugs, coils ect, i just has to be down to which of the lambda, idle switch, idle control, air mass, is causing the problems, i have cleaned out everything, and put it back together again and it started ok, went out the next day and it started but would not idle and did not want to rev, almost back firing when i went to rev it. Thanks again for your help.

RE: Fuel codes
I pulled the plug of the TPS and bridged pins 1+2 and the car started ok, when warmed up i took the bridge off and left the plug off, set the throttle screw so as the car idled at 900rpm and stopped and started the car ok, then took it for a drive and it is running ok now, does the TPS sensor only tell the ecu when to bring in the idle valve when cold, or does it do something else as well, either way it looks like i will have to get a new one, by the way code 4,1,1 showed after all this, but if i put the plug back in it does not show a fault?
