So many improvements....
In the last month I have been doing quite a bit to my 960 thanks in part to having a little extra cash. I had new struts put on the front a few weeks ago, I installed new sway bar links and bushings, I added 2 more speakers in the cargo area (now have a total of 8) I am getting my phantom stereo fixed today, along with the oil and coolant changed, and I bit the bullet and bought new Nivomats for the rear, which I will be installing later today. I replaced my left Nivo about a year ago with one from a junk yard that was in slightly better condition and it wasn't too difficult at all. It was worn, but not as bad as the one it replaced. With the new ones (Sachs) I'm wondering if it will be a different story. The new ones are soo ridiculously stiff, like I can barely compress them a quarter of an inch and I'm wondering if this is normal??
I guess the ultra-stiffness was normal......I got them installed without any trouble, and now she sits on an even keel and I'm so happy
. Rear end rides a bit smoother on rougher roads, and it stayed nice and level when I went to costco with my 2 roomates and bought enough food to fill up the cargo area. Stereo was also "fixed" but then proceeded to die about 6 hrs later, only to come back to life, then die again once I shut off and then started the car again. Thankfully the stereo guy guarantees all his work, and told me to come back if it fails to operate again. Hopefully 3rd time will be the charm. Still I'm way stoked on the new shocks all around. Cannot wait to take her on the 300 mile drive I have to do this weekend, and then another 1,200 in a week and a half. Got a K+N too, and have gotten 27 MPG on my last two tanks which were about 90% highway; we'll see if it goes up even more with 100% highway and the lighter 5-30 oil it has in it now. hooray 960!

stereo now works, the stereo tech claims it could have been a loose ground, so wires were checked and everything is now tight, so we'll see what happens. worst comes to worst I have the ipod for the long drives, should the stereo decide to fail again.
oh man I am stoked on everything....I also just replaced the serpentine belt tensioner. No more weird clicks and groans from the front of the engine anymore (the old one was pretty shot) I get to drive her about 1,600 miles this week, and after spending all this $$ the car better hold up past 200k
