the guy I bought the car off of said that the belt had been changed recently. The cover said 65000; the car had 120k on it. I was about to have the timing belt changed anyways in about a month but waited. Then one day the idler bearing went and and fell off. All the tension on the timing belt went and in 30 seconds I had a blown motor with 24 bent valves. So now I'm looking for a new motor. Any ideas/price ranges? I paid 4400 for a 96 960 in dec of 2006 in good condition from florida. I'm willing to spend about 2000 for an engine and labor through my local garage if we can find an engine...

any indeas?
