Default Volvo engine needs help.

I am trying to fix my Volvo. I will be posting pictures and details of the problem over the next couple of months on Google+ for those interested.

What's "Google+"? Year and model of your Volvo? Are you a spammer?

Why make us go to Google+ to read about your Volvo? Just post here on the VOLVO forum for everyone that has Volvo's to utilize and contribute.

I will post here also, the pictures, videos and comments automatically upload to Google+ so it will get more pictures. Maybe the admin's here could make an app to do the same.

Hmm well I hadn't given it much thought untill you asked, it does not have a model number on the back end like most Volvo's (See picture). I guess it would be a 260, it has the B27 motor, 45,000 miles and except for the A/C compressor that was replaced in the 80's everything was original when a bought it (about 2003) even the tires. The tires came apart so they have been replaced and now the head gaskets are going to be replaced.

I almost have the left head cleaned up. The oil holes in the rocker-arms did not seem to be clogged. When I put them in the parts washer the cam oil holes sprayed out cleaner when pumped through the rocker-arm shaft. I have read that the holes in the rocker-arms that oil the cam were made larger on newer B28/B280 engines. I used gage pins and the holes in the left head are .032". Does anyone know if newer engines had larger holes if so what size are they?
