What warning light are you referring to? How do you know there is no problem with the engine? What kind of car do you have?

You posted twice - this was my response to your first post:

is it the "service" light or the "service soon" light?

the "service soon" means 'time to change your oil!' and can only be reset at dealers, but doesn't matter. just a light. the service light, otoh, should not be deleted - you should check what code it's throwing.

If you have already done this and dealt with the problem, afaik, the device, again, is proprietary, and if you're lucky enough to get a hold of one you can do it yourself, otherwise, to the dealer you go. No reg. mech garage can do it.

Volvo wants your money *really bad* what can I say?
And yes, what car is it? (...didn't really think to even ask that :-( guess that's why you're a senior member, rspi!)
