so on the advice of people in this forum, i bought another factory cd player for my 96 960 after the first one broke. everything seemed all good, i obtained the security code from a dealer and did the 2 hour reset thing and my radio still wont accept the code. it kept saying the eeee thing again like before it did the reset and now it says off, just like before. is there something else i can do to it or just assume that someone on ebaY burnt me?

 

You have a bad code or you are not entering it correctly. The dealer can only give you the radio code if you have the vin for the car it was installed in.
