I just figured out that this switch is going bad. If I hold the ignition switch in the "start" position and wiggle the gear shift in "park", it will start. Where is the neutral switch located, and how hard is it to replace? I can't see where it is... Thanks!

No, it won't start in neutral.

 

Nobody knows where this switch is located?

 

It' on top of the transmission and Volvo calls it a PNP switch but everyone else will refer to it as the neutral safety switch. If you pull the air cleaner box you should be able to see it.
