1993 960 spitting and spuddering
Hey guys, Im going to try and keep this as short as possible but im a very detailed person.. SO, HERE GOES:
1993 Volvo 960. (inline 6)
Initial problem: warped head and bad headgasket. (when I drained the oil, there was 15 qts between the oil and the antifreeze. yea, three gallons+)
Work I did to it: Had head machined back to true
Head gasket (everything that goes with it)
Valve job
All new seals
The issue: car is a complete dog. I personally wouldnt pull out into traffic because it spits and spudders. Kinda like the timing is off. Idle sounds ok, no knocking or anything, the hydraulic lifters quited down within a half hour of idle. But under a load, (accelerating) it sounds like its missing...
Possible thoughts:
-Maybe when I removed the cam positoin sensor on the back of the exhaust cam, I rotated it 180 deg?
-Maybe im a tooth off in my timing between the cams and the crank?
-Vac leak?
If anyone has any other input or maybe if they think I should retard or advance the cams a tooth, please input. This car has been a big ol pain in my A$$ from the start. its to the point Im losing money on it. Just want it out of my garage..
