Hello.
Recently my 850 turbo station wagon, 1996 started to intermittently lose the turn signals, speedometer and headlights. I cannot use the signals, the speedometer sits at 0 and I cannot turn the headlights on. In some instances 10 minutes later all was fine. In some instances I would park the car and still not have the any of them working. I also have a similar problem with my gear shift when I start up. Sometimes I need to press the override button to shift the gear. Once done it works fine. Sometimes it shifts fine w/o doing the override. Don't know if these are related.

After leaving this message I came across a similar thread and the solution was to turn the ignition passed position III. In my case was to hold it there for a second two and all is working now. Advice from that post suggested that I need to replace the ignition switch.

 

Yes it is your ignition switch.
You can go either IPD or FCP.
I would go with FCP cause your in NY they are in CT and you will get it next day.
