1996 850R Trans torque lock
I have a '96 850R, and a '95 850GLT.
The 850GLT's automatic transmission engages the torque lock at 45mph, and the 850R engages the torque lock at 52 (give or take a couple mph). I know that they both share the same AW42 automatic transmission, and are both computer controlled.
My question is; CAN that be adjusted in any way? Most of my speeds are done around 40 - 45mph. I'd like to make it engage at around 45, like my GLT.
Can such a thing be done?

I don't think so. The S E W buttons are suppose to help with. The turbo's and non turbos do shiftlock different. Maybe you can swap the computers but I'm not sure if it will work. What I try to do is get it to lock in and then slow down.
I spoke with someone who did swap a NA transmission computer into his turbo. I saw it in his "signature" and I asked him why he did it. It was to make it lock up sooner under normal driving and worked fine. I've been looking around for a NA trans computer to try on mine.
