Default 1997 850R ABS/Trac light on

Recently sent my ABS module in to have reconditioned. Got it back today and lights still on and speedometer does not work. New rotors and pads cars stops perfectly. What else could it be?

Both lights are on, my code reader does not pull any codes for ABS. Is that normal?

This is the company that did the rebuild.

BBA reman. ABS, ecu's, throttle bodies, air mass meters, and catalytic converters

Oh, I've only dealt with http://midwest-abs.com/ . Very affordable and only does the Volvo units I believe.

Read a little on that site. I think the car has to be driven a few drive cycles sometimes to clear the code.

On a 97 you would not be able to pull ABS codes with the average code reader. It would take a more expensive unit like the dealer or an independent shop that has shelled out a few grand.
That's the nice thing about the '95's and earlier you can get them with the under hood diagnostic panel.

As RS said yoou should only go with Midwest... Midwest has done 3 modules for me and they are a hell of alot cheaper than BBA. Plus Matt guarantees his work FOR LIFE!!..

Email matt and explain to him what the issue is and he should be able to point youin the right direction..
