3rd row seats?
#2
I have them in my 94 850 Estate wagon, they are nice but look like they are designed for small children. They are not full size and face towards the rear. They hide away when not in use. Bigger kids will be uncomfortable on long trips because they would be touching their knees right in front of them. The rear wheel drive Volvo 960 has them as well and they look bigger and more comfortable. The 3rd row seats (in my opinion) would be great if your kids are into sports and their freinds need to tag along. Nice option to have but not worth purchasing used just to say u have it.

The third row seat is great if you meet any of the following:
1) you are less than 4'3" tall
2) you are a pet
3) you are an extra bag of groceries.
If you don't fall into any of those, you probably will not fit. I think they are neat as a novelty, but not terribly practical.

After reading my owners manual, I immediately realized they wouldn't be of much use, at least in my state.
IN has rules about child restraints and booster seats - IN probably isn't the only state like this.
One thing I don't understand, considering how well this car seems to be engineered - is why the center seatbelt is mounted *outside* of the passenger rear seatbelt receiver. With 3 kids in the car, you tend to scrape your knuckles buckling the passenger rear seatbelt into the receiver. If it were outside of the center seat belt, it'd be a whole lot easier.
