I have a question concerning the 850 GLT and 850R /T5R .. On the outside of the car, are they the same except for the Wheels,Front bumper and Rear Spoiler ?

I have done a search and can't find the info out.

 

Yes besides those parts they are exactly the same. Opps except for the foglights the R's have the foglights.
If you come across another R bumper in your local junk Yard please let me know im looking for one for the Yellow R.

 

Yes, you could make an "R" clone with the exterior parts changes mentioned

 

My wifes white one is almost a clone except for the rims. Her trunk spoiler is getting painted so that willbe on soon sadly it is the older style R spoiler like my Yellow one. T-5 newer style one. But it is a spoiler!!

 

I had seen this T5R outside the salvage yard about 2 months ago and went every other day waiting for them to put it out on the yard.. Finally they did.... But if I seen another one I will pick it up for you....

so cal..... There is about 5 junk yards around here and they always have 850s

 

Is that South Carolina or Southern Cali?

Oh ok. I was going to say if it was the carolina's I would have driven to get it.

 

One other difference from the outside (actually 2):
850R's sit about 1 inch lower than a non-R (this makes using a floor jack a real pain sometimes [sm=smiley26.gif])

R's also came standard with 17x7 inch Volan's wheels, the Volans was not used on any other model.
