Speedo works, but no odometer. It's a 93 850 GLT. I heard it might be a printed circuit board issue. Any advice?

 

I went to test drive 2 850's within the past month or so, and the odometers werent working, its a common issue

Odometer Gear Broke.

 

There are plastic gears in there and most likely what causes it is resetting the trip odometer while you are rolling, They can't handle that. The part is $115 and about 3 hours labor to replace it. Quite a job!

Mine broke aprox. at 126k. It's somewhat easy to replace it yourself, you just have to take the time to do it. Bought the gear from the dealer for $40 but saved lots of $ by doing it myself. It took me about 3 hours on a sat. morning. Be careful to plug again the pass. side airbag before turning the car on. That's one thing i forgot and ended up at the dealer to get it reset. Also if you decide to disconnect the battery when working on it, make sure you have the radio code.

The S70 is digital but won't work in yours.
The 850 is common to break the Gear.
