I am trying to buy another Volvo and I wanted an 850. It seems that 2 out of 3 of the cars have had the odometer quit at one point or another so That really screws up a carfax report. Anyone know of a problem with that? Thanks Tom

 

your problem would be the plastic gears inside the odo. has have worn out from people resetting the trip while driving.
try and find someone that has one for sale because it cost alot to get that gear replaced at the dealership.

 

Some places sell the gear online or most dealers sell the gear for like $10.00 and it will take and hour or so to replace.
