am about to start the rebuild on my 97 850 R
what do you guys recommend for piston rings, buy them from the dealer or is there some other place to buy them that would be the same quality but maybe cheaper.

Only get Volvo OEM if you do.

Have you mic'ed the bore yet. Be sure you check for out of round or you will end up throwing away rings.

This was a brand new set of OEMs at 8k miles.

Haven't checked yet. I thought I would just buy everything I need and then take the engine apart
