It is a 94 850 turbo, with about 170k on the odometer. I should also mention I checked my timing marks again, and everything is still spot on.

Did you try pulling codes?

Yeah, it didnt throw any codes, have it running now, it turned out I didnt tighten the plate on the end of the cams beneath the cam position sensor, and it spun 180.

Now for the bad, the mechanics that worked on it, (god i wish i never met them) neglected to put bolts in the coolant inlet on the back left of the engine, got it bolted on, then noticed a huge exhaust leak, one of the bolts that bolts the turbo to the exhaust pipe is stripped off, the other was loose. Tightened the loose one, have two tight bolts, but I will probably have to repair the broken bolt, as it is still leaking.

The other bad, and worse than the exhaust leak is, that now I have oil spitting out of the tube that runs from the turbo back into the oil pan, there is half a green seal sticking up out of it, but its leaking badly and will need fixed before I do anything else.

I appreciate all the help, I think I may have it towed to get those things repaired, but in case I get squirrelly and want to do this myself, you guys have any tips on that tube? what is it called, what would the seal be called? also for the exhaust smoke coming from around the turbo, do you think I will have to pull the turbo to get the broken bolt out? Know of a way to remove a broken bolt easily?

'Nuff said. Start with the smallest feasible bit (drill in reverse), drilling a hole in the center of the broken fastener (tap the center with a punch if needed to maintain center), move up a size (if all you do is drill a hole) until you are drilling a hole and the bolt starts backing out suddenly. It's a great feeling.

It does make a lot of sense. But the only way it will work is if you have bits like I depicted that are "left-handed" drill bits. I noticed that I did not put that term in the text of my last post. If someone didn't look closely enough at the picture to see that's what they were, they might miss it. And I don't want anyone thinking you can do that with right-twisted bits. I would buy the "best" set you can find too - mine were from NAPA. Best of luck.

I am glad you pointed that out, I would have never known the difference. I fixed the oil leak, wasnt too bad either, the only thing left is the exhaust leak. I cant tell you how good it felt to drive it up to lowes to grab the last few remaining missing bolts... I got on it just a tad, heard a pop, pulled over with my oh crap face and it was my turbo hose clamp not fully tight....lol

Would they have to have pulled the exhaust off to pull the head? I am not sure now that it is in fact the loose mount at the turbo down outlet to the flex tube exhaust. It looks like it is smoking from all over, maybe the bottom, is there something else i should check there they may have disconnected? I will try and capture the video of it so you guys can see what I mean. Thanks so much. And by the way, I own a computer company in greensboro nc, if you guys need anything at all, please let me know.

I am happy to report that after a 3 hour drive yesterday, I have no exhaust, oil or coolant leaks, and nothing mixing in the oil or coolant!

Thank you guys soooooooo much.

I will finish uploading all the pics I took, so that it may help someone else.

The exhaust leak turned out to not be that stripped bolt, it was they did not put the 2 bolts on the exhaust top portion. doh.
