I just changed the transmission, the intake had to come off. I put a new gasket on it, and have all the vacuum lines/hoses hooked up, and when I started it up it reved to 6K extremely fast. I shut it down, checked everything out, and decided to try another intake gasket. Trouble persists. Has this happened to anyone else? I tried pulling the hose to the IAC off, and plugging it up thinking that it may just be stuck open, but this didn't help. Any info would be appreciated.

Answer...
Some stupid vacuum operated throttle control actuator on the gas pedal was messed up. I disconnected it, and car idles fine now....
