Default 93 850 won't start

I have a 1993 Volvo 850 that hasn't started in over a month. The upshift light and the economy sport light started flashing in unison when the problem started. We do not seem to be getting any spark from the coil and the injectors are not powering up when the key is in the on position. We have replaced the cam sensor, crank sensor and ign. coil and still same result. We tried checking for codes under the hood and that did not give us any codes. We are getting fuel to the rail. Not sure what else to check from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pull the codes from port A-1, clear them, and see if the transmission light issue doesn't change.

Also pull the codes from A-2 and A-6. I wonder if you don't have an RPM sensor issue since it will make both the engine and the transmission mad.

Post the codes back, by the port number, and we can be more specific.

Wouldn't the RPM sensor be the crankshaft sensor? Or is it a seperate sensor?

And to pull the codes from those ports, I am just supposed to put the jumper cable in the port then turn the key to the on position then push the button under the hood for a second then read the code?

Then how do I clear the code.

Sorry for the dumb questions, this is for my friends Volvo so I am not super Volvo savvy.

to clear the codes hold the button for 7 sec, then the light will come on and you hold the button for another 7 sec and it should be cleared

The crank sensor and the RPM sensor are the same sensor. That said, once you get the codes, clear them, then see which ones come back. Let us know the ones that come back.

This is actually my car that gomer is helping me with. I pulled all the A block codes.
A1 was a 2-2-3. A2 would not give a code. A3 was 4-4-4, 2-1-3, 2-1-4.
A5 and A6 would not give a code. A7 was 1-2-2. A2 and A6 would not give any codes at all. Also A3 is the only one that would clear. A1 and A6 would not reset. I did go through all codes and waited for the first one to reappear before trying to clear. I went through all ports multiple times. Tranny lights are still doing the same, I'm guessing due to the lack of resets. Once A3 cleared, when I tried to test A2 again, the test light would have a constant faint glow. It would light bright when I pushed the button but when released still had a faint glow, even before pushing the button. A2 is the only port that does this. Once again, this started after clearing A3. When attempting to clear, held for 7 sec, wait for light, hold for 7, turn off ign, turn back on, check again. I also followed this without turning off the ign and same results.
Thanks for everyones help and advice. The car has been down since july 4th and is getting real expensive using taxis and using bribes to get rides from friends. When this turd starts, I'm going to send the genius that fixed it gift certificates to dinner. Promise. Thanks

Thanks. I do appreciate that link. The problem has to be in the fuel or ign system though. I'm old school american savvy. middle aged foreign cars, I don't know anything about. The problem is, not getting a code for A2 or A6, fuel or ignition. I am getting fuel. For some reason, I'm not getting spark. It worked fine the night before. Got home, shut it off, woke up, no spark. As stated above, I've replaced all those sensors. I even ordered a new ecu off of ebay and the guy sent the wrong one. You guys know more than I do. Is it the ecu? Should I start over there? Thanks again for the help.
