Default '93 A/C fan switch R&R

the fourth speed on the fan switch doesn't seem to work, I assume I need to swap out the fan switch (it has manual A/C).

Is the switch a separate part I can replace? I've never taken the dash apart on this car, any pointers on that?

I may just try cleaning it with contact cleaner if I can get it apart.

Thanks,

Hi,

Removing the A/C unit from the dash is not difficult, but you may need to remove the radio first, in which case you need to know the reset code for the radio. After the radio is out, you can press on the tension springs that are holding the A/C in place. After that, all you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver.

Or, it could be the resistor (power stage), if cleaning does not solve the problem.

I hope this helps,

The MCC panel comes out a little different then described above.(Sorry JPN)
Remove the 3 radio *****. Then remove the 2 screws. Then you will be able to slide the panel out. It might help to slide the radio out leaving the wires attached and pushing on the plugs for the panel.

LOL.... you guys are a riot :-)

My memory is fuzzy on this but is there a relay under the dash
that is used only for the highest blower speed?

Best regards, John
