Coolant has been going somewhere. I cant see a leak. Radiator is leaking some but looks like oil. Drained all the fluids, no coolant in the motor oil, transmission fluid looks coolant free. Took it to a shop and they said "fluids are combining, must be a head gasket. You need a new motor" yet motor oil is free of coolant. No smoke nothing leads me to a head gasket.

Plans are to replace the radiator (ordered just waiting for it to come in), but i really need to find where the coolant has been going. Refilled the coolant res 3 times in 4 days and parked the car. Also some oil has made its way into the coolant res. Any ideas?

 

Compression test will show head gasket leaks. You can also get a tester kit from your local auto store.

Remember, check your res while the car is cold. Should have a little coolant in there.

 

150 across all 5 cylinders. radiator has been replaced. still getting oil in the coolant res.

 

Not sure why. Drain the coolant at the rad and block and see how much oil is in there. Then put the coolant back in the system. So make sure you keep it clean.
