95 volvo 850 turbo Engine Rebuild Questions
hi
Got a 95 Volvo 850 turbo with 184,568 miles on it . I plan on pulling the motor and rebuilding it . I am still learning mechanics and plan on having techs help me rebuild the motor when the time comes so please do not make fun of me for not knowing everything lol.
I want to know what I Should do , I plan on running a 18t/19t turbo , bigger injectors, ARD tune not sure which one I should do yet, I plan on sending the heads out to get checked and machined.
Should I get the blocked Re-honed ? and then obviously have to get bigger piston rings or pistons ? sorry if im incorrect still learning.
Should I get forged connecting rods ?
Plan on doing new Valves & Lifters etc. should I get specific ones for performance ?
I am going to get the big bore kit for the throttle body with the intake manifold w/ the spacer, I want to do a 3" down pipe with a 2.5" cat back exhaust.
are there any different mods I could do with anything else , is there anything Im missing that I should replace?
I also plan on doing the 5 speed swap while pulling the motor what do I need besides the tranny , pedals .
I heard the 94 850 non turbo's have bigger cam's which you can use in the 95 turbo's is this true ?
I plan on replacing the timing belt all the lines etc, Rear main seal,
Doing all the main bearings etc. is there anything else im missing I understand it will cost a lot to do . are there good websites to get parts from for performance wise.
I currently have a boost controller , Reverse intercooler piping , have replaced all plugs wires cap & rotors pads rotors etc. Did the PCV 4,000 miles ago w/ the heater hose mod worked great.
But if someone can just help me in what I really should get for the engine to rebuild it and to hold up to the 19t turbo w/ bigger injectors, and more boost. I don't want a 600 hp car I just want anywhere from 280-450 maybe 500 idk yet just trying to get a plan going here cause the next couple months I plan on doing it .
I appreciate all the help here guys
thank you !

Im understand how much it is going to cost an im not worried about that at all . I wantto be able to use it for the track but also make it so i may drive it legally on the street as well . This is going to be my project car in the next couple months . So thats why im trying to get ahead of the game and start ordering stuff im going to need that will hold up for what i want to do with it .
