It's been sitting for about 8 months. Batteries good but it won't crank.

 

It won't crank or it cranks but won't start?

 

It won't crank. When I turn the key nothing happens. (other than headlights turning on etc...)

 

You're sure your battery is putting out a good 12V? The lights may come on, but it probably doesn't have enough juice to move the starter. Also, check to make sure the car is in park. Turn the ignition to on, put the car in drive, then back to park. - AB

 

If you can't get it to crank. Find the small wire at the starter and check for power with the key in the start position.
If you have power and nothing happens the starter is bad.

 

The battery is good. It came straight from my v70. I also tried jump starting it and had the same problem.

I'll check the wire going into the starter.
