Default 96 850 turbo hard steering

hey everyone. after the car sat in the winter charged her up and drove around everythings feels good and theres no CEL but the steering feels very hard to turn. when im sitting still and I turn the wheel lock to lock its constant there is no point where its easy but after driving her for a few days it feels a little better but still tight.

ive been reading on a few forums about greasing the u joint on the steering column but I just want some opinions or advice before I dive in. do I have to jack the car up to get to the steering column or do I access it from the inside by the pedals? when I turn the wheel you can hear a groaning come from the steering wheel and I can feel it a little by my feet.

Check and change your power steering fluid first and foremost......see if that helps at all.

Yes, the turkey baster will work. I have always used regular power steering fluid, not ATF. Buy a quart bottle of power steering fluid and that will be plenty.
