Default 97 850 Pop & then nothing
I have a 97 850 GLT with 140K. Last night I was just pulling out of an intersection, heard a pop and then nothing. Car would not move in reverse or drive. Engine ran, but no movement. Any ideas?

Did you notice any fluids on the street?
Are you able to push the car if it's in park - or any other position?
Any lights flashing on the dash?
It's not your handbrake, is it?

Hand brake are common. Will the car move?

It is most likely cv joint.

Turs out it was the axle. Got one ordered and hope to do the job this weekend

Can you post a picture of the break please. Very impressive, wonder if you just had a weak point.
