97' 850 T5 speedometer intermittant
I have an issue with my speedometer that I believe is a relay problem but the wiring diagrams I have are not very good. The speedometer works most of the time in cold weather but after a good heat soak or in hot weather it will go to zero and stay. It is an intermittant problem but is much more prevelent in warm weather. All other instrument panel functions are normal. The cruise control works fine except when the speedo is not working which I believe is normal.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Yes I have an ABS light on. Have just purchased the torx socket to get the box off and repair the solder joints (if that turns out to be the problem)
So is there a corrolation with the abs and the speedometer?

Had (past tense) the same problem (intermittent speedo- mostly interNOTworking) unplugged the connectors on the ABS and squirted some marine grade electronic oil in the ends of the connectors-soaked them good, plugged them back up, Speedo started working. My ABS light has never been on but might be a burnt out bulb.
