97 854 t5!
What's up guys, after a long wait I finally found my opinion of the perfect FF sports sedan a 97 Black on Tan 854 T-5!
Picked her up a few days ago has a few quirks as with any used car but i'll get to those in due time. One question, the speedo works intermittently and when it doesn't work, I have no cruise control. I thought it was a loose connection from the harness to the cluster so I pulled off the top cover of the dash and pulled out the gauges.
Once I reconnected it the speedo works fine for now. If anyone has a diagnosis please chime in and yes i've searched and i'll keep searching for the answer.
Car is a real 4 door sports car no lie. On BOOST!!

One question, is the ABS light on?
If so, then your ABS computer is on its way out. The car gets it's speed signal from the ABS computer. If it is not on, then it could be the gauge itself, but I would think if it was, the CC would still work.

Where can I find an abs computer, i ordered an ipd catalog but i've got the itch to fix most of the "issues" asap. Thanks
There's a few posts of people that can fix the ABS module for you, and directions on how to fix it yourself if you're handy with a low-voltage soldering gun. The ABS failure will most likely cause the TRACS light, too.
If you pickup a ODBII reader you can pull the codes and start searching for solutions. The reader gets plugged in under the coin holder infront of the shifter.
