I drove my car pretty hard in the rain today and got it a little muddy. the hood started steaming but eventually went away. When i drove away it felt as if the gears were slipping. the RPM's would go below a 1000 then my car would decelerate then accelerate. I turned the car off and after a while it felt normal again, but the car still felt a little flat and the turbo felt like it was a lil low on Psi's. it eventually went back to crazy mode. Any Ideas??? could the mud or rain have anything to do with this? Also my check engine started blinking, so i stopped but went away after the car kinda went back to normal[/align]

 

Check the codes it' throwing...seems like a good place to start.

 

If the check engine light was flashing it means the car was misfiring.
Most likely you go the car to wet or the Dist. cap rotor and wires are going bad.

 

how can i fix this? Just let it sit and dry out??

 

Yes how old is the Dist. cap rotor and wires?
They have a date stamnped on the wires if they are OEM.
